Hong Kong is a very small place with population exceeding 7 million. Despite we are not yet a bicycle friendly city due to its limited space, there are still quite a number of cycling routes that one can explore and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Most of the cycling routes are located in the New Territories. Those cycling facilites form part of the infrastructure during the development of new towns in Hong Kong
I have listed below some of these routes and will share with you my visits in my future posts.

- FoTan/Shatin to Sheung Shui
- FoTan to the old Hong Kong Frontier at Lo Wu
- FoTan to Sai Sha via Ma On Shan Promenade
- FoTan to Fairview Park
- Yuen Long to Tuen Mun
- Yuen Long to Lau Fo Shan and Pak Nei
- Yuen Long, Nam San Wai to Kam Tin
- Disney to Tung Chung
To further promote green living, the local government has planned to build more cycling path linking up different areas in the New Territories.
