Looking Back – October 2023
October was a month filled with bike DIY works and verification tests. Continued with my verification of my replaced chainrings, I also completed the fixing works for my boy’s classmate.
30 October | With a series of repair and upgrade works, I finally completed the fixing of my boy’s classmate’s bike. My boy and I took a testing ride to Esher and Hampton Court Home Park to enjoy the last chance of bright UK sunlight! |
8, 15 October | Two consecutive weeks of workout with my boy in Richmond Park. Of course, nothing is completed without his favourite comfort food, the Classic Mac & Cheese. |
4 October | Life is a misery. I got the second tyre puncture with my little Peugeot 208 while driving along New Malden, same place as for last time in 2022. |
3 October | While visiting the Garlic Farm in Isle of Wight early this year, I bought a pack of Garlic Farm inspired coffee beans. Nearly six months later, I finally had the chance to taste it. To be honest, nothing special !!! |
2 October | Completed a sufficiently long distance test on the replaced chainring on my road bike in Richmond Park. Everything seemed to work fine and the project was finally marked ‘Closed‘. |

I am waiting for the bike shop to restock the tire you recommended in December. It’s getting too cold to bike in December anyway.
Exactly, I’m reluctant to ride too!
I can wait. I don’t mind. haha…
